Welcome to Marie’s Cake House. By accessing this website, placing an order or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Marie’s Cake House is a handcrafted cake and sweet treats gifting business supplying products for personal, corporate and hospitality customers. Throughout this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Marie’s Cake House.

 

2. ORDERS & ACCEPTANCE

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

Submission of an enquiry or order request does not constitute acceptance. Orders are only confirmed once:

  • Availability has been confirmed
  • Pricing has been agreed
  • Payment has been received

We reserve the right to refuse orders at our discretion.

 

3. PRICING & PAYMENT

All prices are displayed in GBP (£). Prices may change without notice; however, confirmed orders will remain at the agreed price.

Payment terms:

  • Full payment will be confirmed at ordering

Failure to make payment may result in cancellation.

 

4. PRODUCT INFORMATION

As all products are handcrafted:

  • Colours, decoration and presentation may vary slightly
  • Images are for illustration purposes only
  • Seasonal ingredients or substitutions may occasionally be necessary

We aim to ensure descriptions and photographs are accurate but cannot guarantee exact replication.

 

5. ALLERGENS & DIETARY INFORMATION

Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens including but not limited to:

  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Wheat (gluten)
  • Soy
  • Peanuts
  • Tree nuts

Customers are responsible for informing us of allergies and dietary requirements before ordering. Whilst reasonable care is taken, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.

 

6. DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Delivery is available for London and selected local areas only, subject to availability.

Risk in the products transfers to the customer upon delivery.

Customers must inspect products promptly and notify us of concerns within 24 hours.

 

7. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

Because products are made to order:

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing
  • Refund eligibility will depend on notice provided and work already completed

Where a refund is approved, reimbursement will be made to the original payment method.

 

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marie’s Cake House shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential loss
  • Event disruption caused by delayed consumption or storage
  • Customer mishandling after delivery
  • Failure to follow storage instructions

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

 

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content including:

  • Branding
  • Logos
  • Product names
  • Images
  • Designs
  • Written content

remains the property of Marie’s Cake House unless otherwise stated. Content may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without written permission.

 

10. PRIVACY

Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Customer details will only be used for order fulfilment, communication and legitimate business purposes.

 

11. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

We make reasonable efforts to maintain website availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to amend, suspend or withdraw website content without notice.

 

12. GOVERNING LAW

These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
