DELIVERY INFORMATION

 

 

MARIE'S CAKE HOUSE

At Marie’s Cake House, every cake and sweet treat is handcrafted fresh to order and carefully prepared to ensure it arrives beautifully presented and ready to enjoy.  Please review the following delivery information before placing your order.

 

1. DELIVERY AREAS

Marie’s Cake House currently offers local delivery and selected London delivery only. Delivery availability depends on postcode and order size. If you are unsure whether your address falls within our delivery area, please contact us before placing your order.  At this time, we do not offer nationwide courier shipping.

 

2. ORDER NOTICE PERIOD

As all products are made fresh to order, advance notice is required.

Typical lead times are:

  • Mini Cakes, Cake Caddy™ & Sweet Treats: Minimum 3–5 days’ notice
  • Celebration Cakes: Minimum 7 days’ notice
  • Wedding Cakes: Minimum 3 months' notice
  • Corporate, Hospitality & Large Orders: Minimum 14 days’ notice

Additional notice may be required during peak periods and holidays.

 

3. DELIVERY SERVICE

Orders are delivered either:

  • By Marie’s Cake House local delivery service, or
  • Via a trusted delivery partner for selected London deliveries

Delivery availability and charges will be confirmed at the time of ordering.

 

4. DELIVERY DATES & TIME WINDOWS

Customers may request a preferred delivery date.

Whilst we aim to accommodate requested timings where possible, deliveries are made within an agreed delivery window rather than at an exact time.

For important celebrations and events, we recommend scheduling delivery the day before where possible.

 

5. DELIVERY CHARGES

Delivery fees are calculated based on:

  • Distance from our location
  • Order size and complexity
  • Delivery destination

Delivery charges will be confirmed before payment is taken.

 

6. RECEIVING YOUR ORDER

Please ensure someone is available to receive the order.

If delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available:

  • We may attempt to contact you
  • Additional delivery charges will apply for redelivery
  • Product quality cannot be guaranteed after a failed delivery attempt.

7. PRODUCT CARE AFTER DELIVERY

Our products are handmade and delicate.

Upon delivery:

  • Store products according to any care instructions provided
  • Keep cakes upright and away from direct heat or sunlight
  • Refrigerate products where advised
  • Consume within the recommended freshness period

8. DELAYS

Whilst every effort is made to deliver within the timeframe agreed, delays may occasionally occur due to traffic, weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.  Marie’s Cake House cannot accept liability for delays outside of our reasonable control.

 

9. DELIVERY ISSUES

If there is an issue with your order upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Photographs of the product and packaging
  • A description of the issue

We will review concerns individually and aim to resolve them promptly.
